It was developed in the Lin Institute by Dr. N.K. Lin. The goal of this exercise is to cure common male sexual issues like erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.
This is a natural technique that can be used as an alternative, or addition to supplements and creams. You can execute ballooning after Jelqing, but it can also be done on its own.
Like edging, ballooning can help with the following:
Edging is a penile exercise that involves stimulating yourself until the “edge” and then holding yourself back. Ballooning has the same concept, but it requires more self-discipline.

Read our separate Reverse Kegels Guide
This is a penile exercise that is important when ballooning. While the original Kegel exercise contracts the pelvic floors, reverse Kegels cause the pelvic floor muscles to relax. Reverse Kegels will help you last longer in bed while having a harder erection.
To do a reverse Kegel, simply push your pelvic muscles as if you are trying to urinate faster. This can also be done by pushing your anus as if trying to pass gas.
You will maximize the benefits by holding your reverse Kegels for at least 5 seconds to allow your pelvic floor muscles to really relax.
Find your magic spot. For most men, this is the loose and sensitive skin under the head called the frenulum. This spot must be avoided at all cost.
Remember, you are not allowed to stroke your whole penis. Simply massage the lower shaft and the perineum. Perineum is the area between the scrotum and the anus.
Step 2
Continue massaging the shaft, until you achieve a full erection.
Step 3
Start doing short reverse Kegels while rubbing your shaft and perineum. This will push more blood into your penile tissues, promoting a much harder erection.
Slow down and do short reverse Kegels when you feel like you are about to orgasm. Let your body cool down a bit and start again when you feel like you won’t orgasm anymore.
Repeat these steps for at least 20 minutes. When you feel like you are about to experience point of no return, try doing a strong kegel to stop the orgasm. See our Kegels guide for details on how to do the traditional kegel properly.
For beginners, it is okay to stop your orgasm at level 4 of arousal as shown on the chart. On your next ballooning sessions, set a goal to only hold your orgasm back when you reach level 9.
If you think that you have mastered ballooning, you can perform the exercise by stimulating the frenulum.
Other Areas to Rub While Ballooning
Ballooning exercise encourages blood flow to the penis while also training the penile tissues to hold more blood. This results in harder erections over time.
Being able to achieve erections that last longer will give you the feeling of accomplishment. If your erectile dysfunction is caused by anxiety, performing regular ballooning exercises will give you more confidence in bed.
This exercise will let your brain get used to the feeling of stimulation. Eventually, the brain will become comfortable with the pleasure while being able to hold the orgasm.
During regular ballooning sessions, you will be able observe how your body reacts to every stimulation. This will teach you to recognize when you are nearing the point of no return, thus allowing you to slow down before it gets too far.
Ballooning will also help those who are suffering from severe premature ejaculation who are unable to control themselves with just a little sexual contact.
