Promescent Premature Ejaculation Spray Reviews

Promescent is an FDA approved delay spray that is well known for treating premature ejaculation. This spray is usually recommended by doctors and urologists in the US.

This product contains a unique mixture of ingredients that enable the fast absorption of lidocaine through the penile skin.

Ingredientspromescent product bottles

Promescent’s active ingredient is lidocaine, an anesthetic that works by reducing the sensitivity of the penis. This results in delayed ejaculation and longer sex.[1]

Other ingredients include Farnesol, Dimethicone, Acrylates, Ceteareth-20 and Citric Acid.

How it Works

Promescent is sprayed as liquid and is gradually transformed into oil-aqueous form. This transformation enables the skin to absorb the formula fast.

Promescent must be sprayed directly on the penis 10 minutes before having sex. After the skin absorbs the product, it will become less sensitive thus allowing the user to manage their ejaculation better.

Promescent is more dominant than other similar products as this is the only brand that dries quickly and does not transfer to the partner.

Variations and Bundles

Promescent is sold on their official website and has two variations:

  • Travel trial size – Can be used 10 times. Costs $19.95.
  • Standard – Designed with a metered dose that can be used up to 60 times. Costs $59.95.

The product is also sold in bundles:

Best product I have tried

 by

I have tried almost every PE product out there and this one is the best. Not the cheapest but clearly the best. If you use it correctly it doesn't numb your partner and although it diminishes your sensation you still have a powerful orgasm. Stud100, Dynamo, Duration etc... are all the same. This product is superior.

Worth it!

 by

I bought Promescent after reading a few reviews here, and other places. When I first used it, I was a little shocked. I really didn't feel like it was numbing my penis like so many other delay sprays that I tried before did. It was just like a slight loss of feeling - actually kind of nice! I applied it and totally forgot I did. I followed the directions that came in the package. Waited 10 minutes and then 'got busy'.

Now, without going into too much detail, by the time my partner and I were done, we were both sweating like we ran a marathon. While I don't consider myself an underperformer in bed (usually around 4-5 minutes of penetration) I wanted something to take the edge off. Promescent did exactly that... and oh boy was I feeling as confident as ever! She seemed to enjoy every minute of it, and I asked if the effects had transferred to her. With a giant, sweaty smile she confirmed with a head nod that it did not and then enjoyed a long nap.

All in all, Promescent worked as described and I would recommend it for those looking to rekindle their love lives. You're really able to take it to the next level and don't need to focus on not reaching the point of no return too quickly.

So expensive

 by

There are lots of similar products out there. I’ve tried the others and they are much cheaper. This one is just over the top.

Some of the sprays I tried yield the same results. Although this can be better because it dries quickly, but for me, it is not worth it.

Good after pump use

 by

I used to just spray before having an intercourse. Now I found out that it can also be a great solution when you feel sore after pumping.

Yes I use it and works well so far. Just make sure you don’t have scratches down there.

Wiping off didn’t work

 by

I tried this one time, and washed it off with soap and water after 15 minutes. The odor was gone but my wife complained of numbed mouth.

It’s embarrassing because I didn’t want her to know, but now she knows! It’s fine eventually and I have better stamina.

Sometimes I just miss feeling the full sensation like before.

My Personal Reviewpromescent homepage

I bought the Home and Away bundle from their official website. The package arrived at my door within 3 days. The packaging is discreet with the bottles contained in their own separate boxes.

The package includes a leaflet with full instructions on how to use the product, as well as some safety information.

The instructions recommend applying three to ten sprays. On my first use, I sprayed 3 times and rubbed the liquid to my penis until it dried completely. Ten minutes later, I realized that the 3 sprays numbed me too much.

My erection was the same as normal even though I feel the numbness. The sensation is still enjoyable during sex although it is not as extreme as usual.

During this test, I lasted 15 minutes which is longer than normal.

I continued to test the Promescent without using other products for delaying ejaculation. I would usually last at most 5 minutes, but whenever I use Promescent, I can hold until up to 20 minutes.

With 1 to 2 sprays, I can feel the product’s effect for up to 1 hour before totally wearing off.

Pros

  • Manages premature ejaculation[2]
  • Absorbs and dries quickly
  • FDA approved and generally safe[3]
  • Can be purchased without a prescription

Cons

  • Some customers claim that it is way expensive compared to similar products.
  • Promescent works to reduce penis sensitivity and some men may experience complete numbness when overdosed.
  • Not a permanent solution to premature ejaculation and must be used on demand.
  • Has a noticeable smell that can’t be hidden from your partner.

Side Effects

There are no serious side effects of using Promescent as long as the instructions are followed correctly. The following side effects may be experienced when the product is overdosed.

  • Irritation of the skin, burning sensation, too much numbing.
  • Temporary loss of sensitivity of the penis.
  • Temporary loss of erection.

If any of these symptoms occur, wash the product off immediately and do not spray more. Wait for the symptoms to subside.

Call your doctor if these symptoms persist.

Safety Precautions

  • Start with the one spray to test how your skin reacts to the product.
  • Do not use more than the recommended dosage.
  • The product should not be used if you or your partner is allergic to lidocaine.
  • Must not be used on irritated or broken skin.
  • The product must not be in contact with the eye or mouth so it should be wiped off or not be used at all when having an oral sex.
  • Must not be used when your partner is pregnant.[4]

About the Manufacturer

Promescent is specially designed by a Californian Urologist, Dr. Ronald Gilbert to help men avoid premature ejaculation.

This product is being marketed under a company named Absorption Pharmaceuticals, LLC. The California-based company founded by Dr. Gilbert has been in the business since 2008.

The company is very confident about the safety and effectiveness of their product and claims that many urologists are comfortable recommending Promescent.[5]

Where to Buypromescent label

The product is available on Amazon but it is best to purchase from their official website to make sure you are getting a genuine bottle.

Their website has a dedicated customer support who can assist you in using the product properly, or help you with other concerns regarding your order.

Returns and Refund

The manufacturers do not offer returns or refund, but they are willing to exchange defective products or bottles that do not spray properly.

If ever you decide to ship back your package to the manufacturer, the order will not be credited.

Alternatives

  • VigRX Delay Spray – Uses benzocaine as anesthetic ingredient. Read our VigRX Delay Spray review.
  • Stud100 – Another popular delay spray that was developed in 1970. Like Promescent, Stud100’s main ingredient is also lidocaine. Read our Stud100 review.
  • EMLA – Has two active ingredients: lidocaine and prilocaine.
  • Tempe – Because this product came from the manufacturers of Viagra, Tempe has the most attention from the press. Tempe is not yet FDA approved.

Conclusion

Promescent is effective, works fast and doesn’t have unpleasant side effects.

At first, it needs some testing to make sure you are getting the right dose. I would recommend starting at one spray first before increasing your dosage to avoid the extreme numbness or burning sensation.

Promescent is just a temporary solution for premature ejaculation. There are exercises that can gradually and permanently cure premature ejaculation like Jelqing and Kegels.

Great while doing exercises

 by

I used to suffer from PE, and my sex life depended on Promescent. I carried my trial bottles anywhere I go. But when I learned about Kegels and Jelqing, I knew I had hopes of finally getting rid of my bottles. I only use my Promescent once in a while now.

I have been practicing the exercises for over a year already and they are a big help.

I am also thankful to this spray because it helped me overcome PE when I was just starting out with my exercises.

I love it, except for the smell

 by

It smells kinda bad. It works and I love it so what I discovered recently is that you can actually wash it off after 10 minutes.

You can be sure that the product has already penetrated the skin, so don’t worry about washing it off.

Awesome product

 by

I am the kind of man who would ejaculate upon penetration. This is getting very embarrassing but when I tried Promescent, my sex life has changed completely.

This is the first time in my life that I am actually pushing myself to ejaculate. I never lasted more than 2 minutes.

Now I am more confident, and I like the fact that my wife is also happy about me using it.

Just wow

 by

I tried Promescent last night for the first time. First, you have to know that I have been suffering from PE for a long time, and I was desperate to try anything to please my wife.

I received my package yesterday and tried it same day. My wife was initially doubtful. Still, she agreed to try it with me.

All I can say is WOW! Never in my life was I able to hold my orgasm for more than 10 minutes! I used 2 sprays as I read from other reviews that 3 or more may be too much for some.

I think 2 sprays is the perfect dose for me.
The best thing about it was there were times when I think I won’t be able to hold on anymore but I was able to push it back.

I am still doing my exercises in hopes to cure my PE permanently. Till then, I will keep using Promescent.

I don’t like it

 by

I’m glad I only bought the trial version. The first time I used it, it made me so numb I could actually out a hammer to my penis and not feel it.

I didn’t enjoy the sex, and my partner kept asking me about that weird smell. Not a good experience.

Great for quick fixes

 by

I stumbled upon this product while looking for solutions about my issues. I saw a lot of positive reviews on Amazon so I bought the trial size bottle.

It is really small but works wonderfully. It is a quick fix, but I like it better than taking pills every day.

More than happy with the results

 by

This is the only product that I used to help with my PE. I only bought a bottle and hasn’t finished it yet after 3 months.

The past few weeks, I never really needed it as I have more time to exercise for my PE. But so far, I am more than happy with the results.

If my future situation asks for it, I will be purchasing another bottle.
