How to use the Bathmate Pump

If you just bought a Bathmate or Hydromax pump, you are probably very excited to use it immediately.

But wait! Let’s first discuss how to use it properly.

Getting Started

Before following the steps below, we recommend that you measure your penis length and girth to calculate your gains (even after your first session).

  1. Warm Up

It is highly recommended to warm yourself up before every session. Get inside a warm bath or shower. Start with basic penile stretching and jelqing. Warm up for 5 to 10 minutes.

  1. Filling the Bathmate

Get the pump now and fill it with warm water. While doing it, press the pressure valve until it is filled up.

  1. Insert your Penis inside

Make sure that the rubber seal touches your skin tightly. Your penis can be erect or flaccid, it depends on your routine.

  1. Pumping

The next thing is to push the pump towards you. You’ll notice that water will go out the pressure valve, thus creating a vacuum inside. If you inserted your penis flaccid, it would become erect now because blood is drawn into your shaft.

  1. Keeping the Bathmate on

Now all you have to do is hold the pump steady for as long as the pressure holds. If you lose pressure, you can refill the pump and repeat the steps above. Beginners can go for around 3 to 5 minutes. Do NOT exceed 10 minutes, or you might get injuries!

  1. Removing the Bathmate

After your 5-minute session with the Bathmate on, you can remove the pump by pinching the pressure valve to release the pressure.

Note: There is a latch on top of the valve. Moving the latch will release more water. Compressing the valve releases less water.

  1. Repeat

Massage your penis for a few seconds and prepare another pump (starting from step 2). You should have 3 pumps (of 5 minutes each) per session.

  1. Measure

Get the measuring gauge and see the changes with the length and girth. You may not see any changes immediately. Don’t get discouraged and measure again after the next session.

How often to use Bathmate?

We suggest that you use the pump for 10 to 15 minutes per session, once per day.

Best results are achieved with inflation and deflation 3 times for 5 minutes each (hence, adding up to the 15 minutes recommended session).

You should see some gains from the very first time you pump and the second you release the pressure. However, your penis will gradually decrease in size within a few minutes.

You should commit to long-term use. This is not a quick sprint. It is a marathon. It is comparable to weight training at the gym.

Pump Sizes

To get the best results, make sure that you buy the correct size for you. Having the wrong size will not get you much benefit, and you will only waste your time and cause inconvenience.

Despite the different sizes, the usage is similar across all the pumps. The Xtreme series, however, has the external hand pump to adjust pressure. It is fairly easy to use – and difficult to explain, so we are going to leave that part up to you to figure out.

Congratulations! You’ve just had your first successful session of using Bathmate. With time, you will learn that it is not complicated to use.

You may think of using the hydro pump without water. Well, you can. However, there’s really no point in doing that because we all want to get the best results in a much shorter time, don’t we? The warm water relaxes the muscles and makes them stretch better. This will result in faster gains.

If you feel discomfort or pain, take a break and use some time to recover for a few days.

To get more effective results, perform more penis exercises before using Bathmate. I’d suggest doing some jelqing for about 5 to 10 minutes. You can also explore other penis exercises.

I have been researching for a while. Trying to decide to make the leap or not. I saw your post was recent. How’s it coming along? What was your first pump like? did you get anything girth or length wise that you could use during sex?

I’m not really interested in long term. But if I can get some girth that lasted an hour or so for a roll in the hay I’d be happy.

For balance, as a newbie, I don’t find it anywhere near as easy and straightforward as you describe. I have no trouble getting good erections normally, but with my Hydromax x30 I don’t get anywhere close, quite the opposite in fact.

For one thing, I find the sensation so unpleasant that I can’t get anywhere near fully compressing the bellows which makes my OK sized dick look smaller than it is as being flaccid not much of it is visible. I find that intimidating and not at all encouraging. I’ve only used it twice for 5-minute newbie sessions, but it’s not comfortable for longer yet. I will persevere but so far not at all what I was expecting.

    For complete newbies, yes, pumping can feel a bit off and tension-building. Give it a few more sessions – don’t rush, stress, or over-pump. Relaxation is important for muscle tissue expansion, and you will soon learn to love it.

      Thanks for the encouragement. The last two times have been better. I find it helps to go in about 80% hard.
